I'm going to Florida for spring break, woot. When I go to the beach, and comes home with a tan, or just a bit darker, my mom would be like "you look like a cambodian." Does anyone else's parents do the same?

Is that how you vietnamese keep your light complexion in the heat. i actually watched something on how filipinos try to get lighter skin, and it is actually proven that if you avoid the sun your skin won't get as tan as it regularly would. Time to bring out the umbrella .

Let's say two people who has exactly the same skin tone/type. You place one in the sun and one in the dark, it will be obvious after a period who has been where. Sun light has UV light, and the UV light effects your skin pigmentation. You should try the experiment youself, stand outside in the sun all day for many days, you will turn darker. You'll get a beautiful tan, along with early skin sagging and wrinkles, and the possiblilty of skin cancer.

Same here. My dad never had a formal education. But he's one smart dude. He loves science,politics and math. Spends all his spare time reading those books to learn more. The only difference he has no degree to show it off. Having an education doesn't make you better then the next guy.
