Chinese Teenage Girl, Naked, Killed In Malaysia

The naked body of a girl found in an oil palm plantation in Malaysia on Sunday has been identified as that of a 17-year-old girl from China. Li Mingqianm, from Southwest China's Guizhou Province, enrolled in a private college in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan, for an English course in mid-January, police said.

Li had been raped and sodomized.

Li was last seen by her housemates in Mantin on Friday morning. She had told her three housemates that she was going to Kuala Lumpur to look for a part-time job to finance her expenses. It was not known whether she was going to Kuala Lumpur alone. On Friday night, she told a housemate that she was in Klang and planned to return by taxi. That was the last communication between her and her housemates.

Police said Li was probably murdered by a taxi driver who took advantage of the girl but did not rule out the possibility that she was gang-raped before she was killed. Police would investigate why she had gone to Klang when she did not know anybody there. They were also puzzled by Li's intention to look for a part-time job as her mother was a doctor and stepfather a businessman.

Rape cases are going rampant nowadays but still there's no solution...
What should we do to alleviate it since it's involving a foreign gal????
This will decrease the intake of foreign students to our study colleges since Malaysia is not a safe country anymore...

^Very tragic, but Malay goverment know very well how to deal such as crime!

I really think the government should impose heavier punishments on those who commit crime on foreigners. I dunno, this is just my current opinion - there are way better suggestions than this.

Anyway, I hope the police find that suspect as soon as possible. >: ( It's already part of the Malaysian law that murderers would be hanged.

Everyone should be equal in the eyes of Malaysian law.

A foriegner is no better then the native people living there. You commit a crime on a native and a crime on a foriegner then you recieve the same punishment.

Anyways doesn't Malaysia execute you for murder anyways??

Every punishment should be the same for everyone, no matter what person,race or country.

Well if we do settle it with bribes then the Malaysian police will be back to square one againts corruption.

Malaysians tried to expel as many ethnic Chinese as possible during the Race Riots in the early days of the country's founding.

This is one of the reasons why the predominantly-Chinese Singapore seceded from Malaysia to become an independent nation and why there were affirmative-action programs in malaysia for ethnic Chinese and other minorities

If we really wanted to expell the chinese in the 60s we would have done it already.

Malay were/are kind people, unfortunately their kindness was being taken wrongly and seen by other race as sign of weak!
