Now here's something really Vietnamese that I know everyone has a different take on. For me, I like it cold, also like the ice cream. Can't find the drink anymore. I used to buy durian flavored cookies and offer them to people who hadn't tried it yet, but I lost too many friends over it. Can anyone even describe the taste?

man, i missed them old day, that fruit is one of my favorite, like some says, it very stink (like leaking natural gas smell like), but some are liking it very much, me, personally like it very much, i used to go to my adopted mother's Durian farm and ate a whole bunch of those, all fresh and picked off the tree, man, they good. Have any one of U ever tried it with Avacados smoothie?? If you haven't, try it.

One of my friend family lives in an apartment, when they eat this fruit, they didn't throw away the skin. Then, people lives under their appartment thought there were some gas leaking somewhere, they called the gas company up and checked around for 2 days, finally i found the cause, "Durian skin".

this Chinese lady she bring durian to her work place and eat. no one know it. then later on a guy told another guy "do you smell gas " another guy said 'yes' so they said look like the gas came from the kitchen. it getting stronger and stronger. so the guy called the security and then the security came and realized it is from this Chinese lady who ate Durian. hehehe so funny. my mom told me this story. and i laught 2 2 2

i like this fruit , i never think it stink at all. ok , but my man couldn't eat it. there was one time I made him eat with me, he ate it and then his face turned blue I thought he gonna vomit or fall down. he was terrible.

I find that the Chinese stinky Tofu is much stink and strong smell than this durian.

if someone pisse me off. I will create a bomb. I'll mix durian with Chinese stinky tofu, Vietnamse fish sauce, and then spray on their faces. . I hope their faces will turn blue.

I don't like the smell, but I like the fruit (fresh only). anything else with the flavor taste bad to me, especially cakes. My mom thinks it smells like rotten meat. My bro would never touch it. My dad doesn't care much about it, and my uncles would eat anything that has durian in it.
White people claim it tastes like super sweet onion and smell like garbage.
Such a controversal fruit haha.

A hmong I worked with gave me a piece of durian candy but I could not even unrap it ,it smelled so bad

In one street, Nguyễn Tri Phương , there are so many Chè Thái stores that we can order fruit drinks with durian fruits mixed. This is a better way to eat durian fruit. Even my foreigner white friends love them durian fruits mixed Chè Thái ...

Tropical fruits in VN are so good and fresh. Besides durian fruits, I like măng cụt, chôm chôm, bòn bon, vú sữa, xoài, me, cóc, ổi, nhản ... Darn, we don't have these stuffs in US!
