HCM City (VNA) - A 60-storey office building will be built next to the State Treasury in District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The building will have a steel framework and glass walls and be built at an estimated cost of 96 million USD by the Binh Minh Import-Export Company.

Construction of the project is scheduled to start before April 30 and to be completed in 30 months.

i believe that i do know taht 60 storeys = 60 levels ...but what is that in metres?
Byron
Well Shanghai's 2nd tallest skyscraper plaza 66 is 66 stories which is 288 metres. So 60 Stories based on that is about 261 metres.
VOTAMVOTU
the building looks futuristic
kinda odd in the old setting

It depends on the architecture, there is no standard height for a floor:

The Baiyoke Tower in Bangkok is 304 metres high with 90 floors but the Burj al Arab Hotel in Dubai is 321m high with only 60 floors.

ahh ic.. much prefer if they just used metres instead since storeys has no specific measure.
Byron
Is that pic really the planned skyscraper or did you use photoshop to make it? I don't really care, I just find it hard to believe that a skyscrapper that looks that futuristic would be in Vietnam in 2008.

I hope they don't make the same mistake the US did and put they're entire econmy inside two tall towers.
