What are you guys doing for tet anyways?
Me, just the usally, eat at chuch, go home, play some tien len, $10 for first place, $5 for second.
Full Version: New Year 2005!
umm, i just stay home, go out with friends, temple, firecrackers, get money in the form of red envelope (haha, aww it'll only be 1-2 more years before its my turn to hand out moeny isntead of GIVING, damn). Umm play that one game, I don't know how to spell it, the one w ith the crab and the lobster and teh chicken and the deer and the fish!!! It's a fun game to get money off. play some tien len, eat that one stuff, don't know how to spell, its like this sticky rice stuff with meat or whatever filling in the center, wrapped in banana leaves
whens new years? ..im gambling at the tet fair...chillin wif family..thats bout it...

Probably just celebrate with my family. We do the usual Chinese thing.
Eating the Eva night with family, going around, going home. End the new year! 
The thing that amaze me mosts is that I care too much about Christain and new year, yet I don't really look forward to Tet.

Take a day off, visit my parent, eat traditional food made by my mom, talk about Vietnam and family then go asleep.
This tet sounds festive...hmm but one thing I don't get, is why the main color of Tet is red? I think it has soemthing to do with the CHINESE tradition. I think red symbolizes peace and fortune (Those little cute red envolopes filled with BLING, maybe?)...well if you guys can explain it'll help a lot
