50-year-old foetus removed from woman

    January 17 2005 at 02:53PM

Hanoi - A 75-year-old woman admitted to hospital in Vietnam a week ago with abdominal pain was found to be carrying a foetus that was at least 50 years old, doctors said on Monday.

Dinh Thi Thu was shocked when doctors told her she was carrying the foetus, according to Nguyen Ngoc Tai, the director of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital in Quang Binh province, 400km south of Hanoi.

"She said she noticed the growth in her belly fifty years ago. At that time, she sometimes felt some movement in her abdomen, but gradually, she just forgot about it and found no problem with it," Dr Tai said

Damn...that's one old fetus.

I think the fetus probably died in the womb and stayed there for 50 years.

If she can feel movement in her womb, it must be pretty far along...
This is some kind of hoax, right?

This is too weird to be true.. I still don't see how the fetus could stay in her that long, without anything happening. Her body is weird.
