Hey people, hope you all having a good day, well anyways, I was wondering if you guys know of any VIETNAMESE ROCK songs (Rock as in... lots of guitar and bass, similar to american rock/J-rock). I've heard of Vietnamese Pop and Vietnamese Techno, which is pretty great, but I'd like to hear Vietnamese Rock one of these days. If you guys know of any V-Rock songs, please list them here!! And any other vietnamese songs too (doesn't have to be rock.)

Anyrays, I never heard of Vietnamese rock. I wonder how they sound like screaming with all those tones and nasals.

Hey u, I've posted some links where u can find and hear Vietrock. sure.gif So u didn't listen any one?
Hmmm... I can show u something about Vietrock. Rock in Vietnam prefers Metal and death rock than Modern rock, or alternative rock. With my look, all rock band in Vietnam ofent play Metal rock. It's rarely to hear them play alternative rock.
Rock in Vietnam now sounds like music of Metallica or Scorpion, sometimes Scarpery too...
Oh u just go and listen, maybe my remarks rn't right. Anyways, I'm glad to share with u my hoppy of Vietrock. embarassedlaugh.gif2 biggrin.gif

I say my mind...Viet rocks sound gay. Further more, mosts of the male Viet singers looks gay. I don't know how they got to be upstage in the first place considering they don't have the looks and the can't sing either.

Dude, I've even seen Vietnamese Black and Death metal bands. I found it quite odd, because all the other communist countries had no bands of that genre at all.

Have you heard of Hung Cuong and Mai Le Huyen? they were really popular during the 70~80s, i think. Their music is quite good with lots of guitar and bass.
Some titles i can think of are:
hai trai tim vang
tinh linh
tup lieu ly tuong
thuy thu va bien ca
tinh yeu tuyet voi
...and a lot of others as well, if you like these and wants more similar songs i can list more if you like.

Go to www.nghenhac.info, it's a whole database of music, viet, mostly, but english also.
Anyway look under rock catergory and u'll see viet rock.

they're pretty good (some got voice better than some current vpop singers), and no 3rd grade lyrics like some american rock, cough *blink what*

i suggest The Wall or Thanh Gia Do.

registration is free, and you right click on song, save as, to download.

download vui ve.

btw, The Wall is Buc Tuong, I dont know why the name is in english at that site.

You can find everything about Rock Viet here:
http://hehemetal.com/ ( Try buctuong, soiden, atomega, atmostphere)

I like the lyrics of buctuong music.

When you listen long enough, you'll like them. Don't compare to Rock on the world cuz we started later.

WHat about Black Wolf?

Or is it Silver wolf?

'den' means 'black', and no wonder soi den band is not very known, i found out that they are an old metal band from hanoi, i mean who would have thought. south viet country music pwn north country music anyday. Anyway they are very good, awesome lyrics.

Compare to vpop, the lyrics are much better. I mean some of the current vpop artists now write their own songs and they suck so bad, so repetitious, ex. Luu chi Vy, and Ung Hoang Phuc,(lol i'll probably get bash by many girls here because practically every viet girls like them, but you have to admit out of 50 or so songs, its lame repetitous lyrics, now for voice i cant stand Ung Hoang Phuc, but thats just personal preference) amongs many others. You can almost always tell when they wrote the music by the lame titles.

I say leave song writing to professional writers, unless you are really good at it like Duy Manh. Duy Manh was a nhac sy before he sings right?

can anybody find a complete version of 'long tu hao'? the version at nghenhac.info is only a demo. post the link. Cam on nhieu.
