My parents have a restaurant and some crap viets (just those ones) bought a restaurant right across the street from mine and they're trying to take me over!!!!we've been around for 25 years!

Yeah, but I think you can say the same about every kind of food.

For Viet food, I love bo luc lac, pho, goi gon (springroll), bo jin bo (spelling?). I can't stand the "Vietanamese pizza" that's pretty much "duck blood pudding" and the eggs where the chicks are half-formed and there are feathers and everything and people just eat it live...

i know wat's pho is, i think it's probably pho dai, they r noodles (no soup) with roasted pork(not char siu)

what do you mean they want to take you over? maybe they just trying to open their own business and that store was an oppurtunity. You're too quick to judge people. if they don't post a big sign that says "the store that wants to take over dante's family's customers" then give them a chance

my uncle bought a restaurant in the middle of a mini-mall and made it to a sushi restaurant... now he pretty much owns the competition (a pizza shop, a fast-chinese food store, but not a bar)

back on topic...... so wat if they open a viet store? i mean u should have ur own business... its not one thats like urs so that there will still be ppl with preference for chinese food over viet.

ah, that suck @$$. the best thing you can do is to sue their @$$ off, but i guess that would be kindah un-ethical, if you know what i mean. anyhow, the best stradegy for your family is to open even more restaurants around the same area and eventually drive them out of business, then close them afterward.

i asked my parents if they wanted to make some dim sum but they said it was too much work and we are located in the lobster capatle of the world (shediac) and ppl here are all like french so they don't know $h!t about dim sum.

Its competition! Similar thing happen to my Aunt and her nail shop. Her shop have been there for years, and all of a sudden somebody decided to open another nail shop right across the street from hers. They even tried to post one of their fliers on my aunt nail shop window!
