I agree. We should all improve safety, for example: 74 dead in north China coal mine accident (Xinhua) icon_sad.gif

http://www2.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2009-0...ent_7500117.htm

If Xinhua says 74 dead, the true figure is probably 174 icon_sad.gif I sad, China sad icon_sad.gif
VNCHedgehog
Just one more example: Chinese coalmine death toll soars to 87
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/nov/2...mine-death-toll

I sad icon_sad.gif

We must take safety seriously to avoid things like this: China Coal Mine Blast Kills at Least 46, http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-06-21/c...ureau-says.html
VNCHedgehog
Human life is sacrosanct, we must do more to avoid barbarity such as: In China, 190 children are snatched every day http://www.guardian.co.uk/theobserver/2007...ures.magazine77
VNCHedgehog
Well, fu-k me! Child abductions plague China http://english.aljazeera.net/news/asia-pac...2912964826.html

Please don't dismiss lilzz's posts. If there is something to improve then we should concentrate on improving it. Don't take it for granted that your world is perfect and ignore every little setback that begets you.

I hope this tragedy will bring in more rules and regulations that will reinforce safety and reliability similar to standards of the west. It will contribute to our move into modernization which we all can appreciate. For right now it is an embarrassment to the world communities having negative effect in our society.

I don't dismiss lilazz's post at all, on the contrary, he raised a very important safety issue which I am glad to contribute to and build upon icon_smile.gif

I agree, Vietnam should really avoid purchasing chinese-made $hit.

The best way is to stay in the house or not to travel. By stepping outside the house, you run the risk of getting killed. kiss.gif

These type of things happen all the time, in every country. Remember Titanic? People still go on tour boats. The best thing Vietnam could do is to double check all the engines to prevent this. And they have stopped all the tourist boats for checking now.

Fine. When me and lilazz have successfully banned all accidents in China, dont come and claim any credits
lilzz
roughly 1K for each dead, that's sucks. $1K is not even enough for me taking a vacation!! icon_twisted.gif
those tourists got what they deserved, travel cheap and die cheap. Man, if someone in my family die while traveling, I want at least $100K on the table.

Six bodies of the tourists who died were also handed over to the concerned embassies.

The remaining bodies are being kept at the morgue of a provincial hospital to be handed over directly to their families.

Quang Ninh authorities also said they have made ex-gratia payments of VND10 million (US$478.92) each to the survivors, and allocated VND20 million ($957.85) each for relatives of the dead.

The offender or offender's insurance will pay.
asean.asia
I just worry that your body will dent someone else car by running over you. kiss.gif

By the way, how come you don't warn people about eating china's plastic rice. Die from travel is an accident, but die from eating china's plastic rice is intentional. kiss.gif

If Chinese rice is toxic then people can still survive on Chinese milk
lilzz
But I will bring my own boat there instead.
