Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney, Fabregas ...

These are all young players with tremendous fame, even compare to their older counterparts.

I think the one who has brought this up in modern age is Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger who invest so much into youth talents and wonderkid, now Guardiola of Barcelona is doing the same thing and got fruitful result.

We also see other wonderkids rise to an occasion, and seemingly older players place now are the mid-table to lower table clubs.

Do you think this trend is really an effective one? How long will it last?

The problem with overhyping these kids is they get really complacent once they turn 30 or once they have a lot of money. The younger they get, the less mature they are making it very likely they'll fall miserably.

Look at Neymar. He's 18/19 and he's gotten really cocky and probably complacent already.

Money does strange things to people.
