I came by this News Release about the Royal Family of Vietnam that lives here
in the United States in Exile.

The Goal of Prince Buu Chanh is to politically pressure the government of Vietnam to provide Religious Freedom and Human Rights.

Prince Buu Chanh goals are for a democratic government, and the people should be able to chose what form of government: a Democracy like France, United States, Canada or a Consitutional Monarchy like Thailand, United Kingdom, Cambodia and Spain.

Prince Nguyen Phuc Buu Chanh was invited to the Thiên-Lý Bửu-Tòa Cao Dai Temple that is located in San Martin, California.

The Cao Dai Religion was founded by a Vietnamese man by the name of Ngo Van Chieu in 1926.

The Saints, or guiding spirits revered in Cao Dai are Jesus Christ, Republic of China founder Sun Yat Sen, Buddha, French author Victor Hugo, Nguyen Binh Khiem, Muhammad, Confucius, Julius Caesar, Joan of Arc, and Pericles . They are depicted in a painting, signing a covenant with God.

Thanks for providing this information about the Royal Family of Vietnam, and the work that Prince Nguyen Phuc Buu Chanh has been doing to help the people of Vietnam.

I read through the Vietnamese website and the English websites and I am very impressed with the information and the photographs of the movements to restore a democracy in Vietnam.

When is the next meeting or function Prince Nguyen Phuc Buu Chanh will be attending ?

So, everything help our cause is okay? Even I've a tiny bit of "Nguyễn" blue blood in me, I'm still principal again them. In a true democracy, there is no place for a royal family. Most modern Western monarchies survive by staying out of politics, what does our royal family? Directly involve in politics. And it looklikes they won't give up when Vietnam become a true democracy.

I suppose this isn't meant to sell publicity to some PHO shop? can turn into a demonstration of nationalistic shame in a foreign country...

IMHO, and with all due respect to innocent eyes, the next time they should raise some money anh hire a Hollywood producer, so that on the photos it doesn't look like a cheap monkey parade.

Are they not allowed to return in Vietnam by the Vietnamese government? They could start a more dignified representation business in some provine? I would support that.

Please have some class, The Royal Family, is not a dating service.

I am very surprised with your response, when there is alot of suffering going on Vietnam, that we need to stop.

It is over 29 years now that are people in Vietnam have been suffering and Prince Buu Chanh is trying is hardest to to establish political reform and religious reform in Vietnam.

Concerning Princess Daiana and Thuy they are both married and are involved in charity organizations that donate medical and school supplies to the children of Vietnam.

What you can do is goto the websites and and print out the the information and with the address of the office of the Nguyen Dynasty, to spread the news.

Give it out to the Vietnamese in your community and you can also call the Foreign Secretariat and where we can set up a Forum, for the Prince to come and speak to Vietnamese about the movement to free Vietnam, and establish a DEMOCRACY.

What the fukkk with this loser prince bua chanh, i don't see the point that Vietnam need the Monarchy, this $hit is out of date....i don’t know why this loser called himself a prince…wtf? He needs to get a life and stop living on welfare and food stamps $hit… I wonder if he is pure Vietnamese and want to represent for the Vietnamese people then why would he named his daughter with American name…isn’t that too Americanized for the viets if you plan to become our prince?

I dont know what websites you are reading that Prince Buu Chanh is trying to gain the throne in Vietnam.

I just came across this post today and my father and uncles were reading it with me, and we were looking over the information for freedom and democracy for Vietnam.

Please list the specific link, where is say that Prince Buu Chanh is claiming the throne.

Prince Buu Chanh is claiming a Democracy for the people of Vietnam.

If the people vote for a Consititutional Monarchy, like Cambodia, Thailand, England, and Japan, the role to be played is an Ambassador.

That is what a Constitutional Monarchy is all about.

Democracy will control the Destiny of Vietnam, we must not forget our past for it will guide our future.

not "the monarcby shall rule"

I do not see any throne, that is trying to be restored.

You definitly need to read over the websites, to get a clearer understanding about Prince Buu Chanh's agenda and objective to establish a democratic system for Vietnam.

The Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia are both located in Southeast Asia and governments and they have a Constitutional Monarchy.
Laos also had a Constitutional Monarchy before it was overthrown by the Communist Lao

South Vietnam had a Semi-Quasi Constitutional Monarchy under Emperor Bao Dai, when he served as Head of State of South Vietnam, before he was removed by a fruadulent rigged election by Prime Minister Ngo Dinh Diem.

It seems you are mis-quoted

You are totally unaware of the pain the Vietnamese people are going through.

A democracy is the only objective that can free the people of Vietnam, that is it !

and that is what the Prince is advocating.

If during an election the people of Vietnam want a Constitutional Monarchy that is their right.

Just like the Cambodians had a right to choose what Government they wanted when the Communist Vietnamese were told to leave the country in 1989.

Freedom of Choce is the main objective of Prince Buu Chanh's mission.

It is clearly stated here in this link that to restore Democracy to help the people of Vietnam is the agenda of the Royal Family of Vietnam.

I don't like to repost my post again. I already state I'm republican by principe. And the only way I will support him is when he gives up the claim the throne. Because you don't give me any evident he will do it, I will not support him. I respect your opinion but mine is different and suppport the Royal movement is not the only alternative to change Vietnam into a democracy in my humble opinion.

This image should be remembered too. It is now strange to see monks waving 3-worms flag (My Nguy) in protest against communists' oppression.

What were the monk above plus many other monks and people doing and protesting against what ???

Nguyen Emperors. Why would I want to be ruled by them. If anything I would want to be ruled by an Emperor who was a Pham. Same as me. For too long the Nguyens have been hogging the Vietnamese identity.

I am very surprised with your response, when there is alot of suffering going on Vietnam, that we need to stop.

It is over 29 years now that are people in Vietnam have been suffering and Prince Buu Chanh is trying is hardest to to establish political reform and religious reform in Vietnam.

Concerning Princess Daiana and Thuy they are both married and are involved in charity organizations that donate medical and school supplies to the children of Vietnam.
