A police state with a clean and efficient government and low crime rate. If you hate it that much, move to Somalia or S. Africa. No police there.

As a newbie I shouldn't talk too much... But, this long standing issue raised by so many, politicians or non-politician, foreign or local.
My view on this matter is rather simple.
Singapore is a tiny country. Maybe smaller than certain district of a mega city of the world.
Any problem arises in Singapore will always be bigger in proportion compared to a larger countries.
Like fire can burn down a unit or two before fireman arrives, but burning a whole block of a Apartment building is much less likely.
Moreover, inconvenience wouldn't kill you, does it?

Is Singapore one politicals party dictatorship? I don't think most people would mine because Singapore is developed and prosper.

If you have been following the issues about WikiLeaks and the U.S you'll see how much their government has hidden from their citizens.
Australia government too has become corrupted. Just look at the Labour State government of N.S.W and the incident of Kevin Rudd and Julia.

Such is their hunger for power and they would do anything to get their hands on it.
This is much as I can tell about the present world politicians.

It's similar to Japan, in which one party legally but underhandedly retains power by exploiting weaknesses in the political system. But it's all legal and according to the rule of law.

The rough and tumble of western democracy is meant for uncontrollable people.
Asians bow to their teachers and are respectful to parents. They prefer the ordered society.
