Miss World shows a big tendency of popularity trend to win!
See they have all sort of gimmick like telephone voting,sms voting ,internet voting????????
Looked Miss Vietnam ,Tanzania should be at least in the finals last year based on the number of votes that they got thru sms but What happened to Miss Tanzania? She was ranked 4th in the SMS votes last year.
Miss Vietnam was second to Miss Philippines last year but only managed to get in only in the top 20.

But based in the pictures and some sites, Asians seems to be quite popular this year maybe because it is held in an Asian country.
China,Hongkong,Thailand,Philippines,Vietnam,India, Singapore,Malaysia and Korea seems to be a very strong candidates this year!

Good point Pok-nat - The asian girls have a higher profile because it is being held in China. I think Miss Vietnam has very good chance too, I guess we must look at her competition tho. It is not just based on looks, Rachel. I know you think the whole world revolves around looks, but it does not. See the bio next to each girl, that is taken into consideration. As is her interview! Yes, they are asked questions and must answer to the judges. Her answers are assessed. Also their personalities are assessed during the week before the final night. Girls with friendly personalities and those you get on well with the other girls get higher marks. Looks are not everything in Miss World. The prettiest girl does not always win, infact, rarely wins ... Lotsa reasons for this which maybe someone her can talk about ...

Sorry Rachel if I offended you by my last post. I didn't think there was anything offensive in it. In fact, it was meant to help you and others here identify Miss Vietnam, from all the the other posts of Miss World hopefulls. I think u missed the point somehow. How about you try and write something more meaningful in your next post, maybe about Quan and her chances of success in December, or maybe about Miss Australia, since you live in Australia. Maybe Rachel (Lady-Rachel) you can try and write more than 7 words next time.

No-one her has made any comment on her bio -

Lotsa viet. girls colour their hair with dark brown or deep red colour kits, but I think blonde is best!

You can buy blonding kits from supermarkets or drug stores (Chemists)
