I'm thinking of doing a 3yr full time diploma at one of the polytechnics. Upon completion, can diploma holders apply for PR and or legally work in Singapore?

If you graduated from a local polytechnic, you should not have a problem finding employment here.
As for PR approval, I don't think there's an issue if you are apolitical, and is not associated to certain religious group embarassedlaugh.gif

A fair bit of young ladies along Joo Chiat, but if you are looking for Viet communities, it should be further north; HCM or Hanoi?
Sexysomchai
Viet numbers are too small to form a community. The largest number in Joo Chait u see are only on social pass.
Conan1
why would you want to form a community?

Personally Singapore was one of many targetted future homes for me, my wife and daughter. I actually appreciated the multiculturalism and great ethnic tolerance compared to Australia. Unfortunately as I own my business here in Sydney I lack the ability to migrate any-time, and I've heard competition is even stronger within Singapore then Sydney itself.

Yes Daddyman, competition in Sg is strong. But it is a good country. U should consider going there. Thought education there is pretty taxing for the kids, i must say

I would listen to Ricochet. Racism certainly exists in Singapore. Your average income is very high, but there is little you can do with the money. Housing is very expensive considering what you get for your dollar. Cars are expensive.

Like everything in life, there are advantages and disadvantages. Before making a commitment to moving there, I would take an extended holiday there and perhaps even working there for a short while before fully commiting.

I love Singapore. I moved here to get away from the garbage life of living in the US. My parents now live in Vancouver, Canada. Singapore has less crime than the US due to the strict rules. No thugs, hardly any grafitti, robberies, etc. So good living here!!
