Do u think in general, an americanized asian guy can get along with a fobby viet girl?? Do u know any couples like that??
In my case, no. Unless she speaks English, I won't date her.

Wow you guys use FOB too uh. I don't wanna generalize but it seem like mostly Vietnamese and Koreans tend to separate themselves from Americanize and a FOB but they still both obsessed with Hello Kitty!
One of my friend say she doesn't like FOB b/c they tend to be closed-mined and stay with their own little group and talk $hit in their native tongue but there always exceptions.
I talk to both FOB and non-FOB! FOB when I need help in math and non-FOB to horseplay with.

What's wrong with people from Vietnam? They hold more confucius values then most of us westernized Vietnamese. Making them more pure Viet then most of us. You forget so easily, if the civil war didn't exist, we would have most likely been born and breed in Vietnam.

I think I am a FOB caused I been in America for only 10 yrs. but no one thinks that. Everyone including other Asians thinks i was born here and is shock to find out I can speak another language. Maybe because I don't look like a stereotypical FOB girl with long black hair, bell-bottom pants, and is quiet or talk to non-Asians.
