Do you think a united south east asia is possible?

My guess is no, too many different ethnicities, languages, political differences. Although a united SEA would be a major force in the world.

If you mean united in spirit, definitely.

Why the hell do you want an united Southeast Asia? We already have ASEAN. The differences among Southeast Asians are way to big to build an united Southeast Asia. The languages, cultures, political systems, races, beliefs etc. There are even Southeast Asian countries that have more in common with countries like China, Spain or India than any other Southeast Asian country. Southeast Asia is only a geographical term to describe the Southeastern part of the Asian continent, not more.

It's certainly possible, but unlikely.

South East Asians belong to the same race just different language families....

believe me, southeast asia will be beautiful once everything is developed. everyone will want to live there. southeast asia will unite, its already begun. southeast asia once everything is developed to an extent of decent living standards, we will unify just like the european union. it will be a big tourist attraction and many will want to live there because of the openness and u know southeast asians luv to party . it will be beautiful cause the men and women will be beautiful and those southeast asian overseas will influence or have been influence by us already, giving those there the balance needed to keep a steady of tradition and modern lifestyles.

we are already a positive force already in western society. southeast asians are cool cause we are genuinely polite, giving, and hard working. the best mixture of class and politeness. plus, we're funny people. funny as people laugh with us not at us. we need to unify to show those cocky northerners that we can stand up and show what we can offer to the world cause we can. we need to stick together. we are the most friendliest and classiest people on earth. lets show our classy side to by continually building our countries to a point of global respect.

No, I don't want to have like a Federation of ASEAN nations. It will break up faster than it took to assemble them.

There are three race on the earth:cacausion/mongoloid/negrito.
And blood is not that important as culture....

If SE Asia is united we don't need to worry about spratly's and Paracel....

Then u would worry about the other things, like religion dispute, language dispute,culture dispute...
Life is full of the troublesome things.

So......ASEAN unite so that Philippines have no more border problems ??? how about ours ?? How about Indonesia's border problems ? How about Malaysia's or Thailand's and the rest ? Well that really strengthen my view on this issue.
