Koreans - peaceful people. proud history, culture and traditions.
Laos - quite peaceful people. Soft spoken and cheery.
Thais - friendly, cheerful and a glittery culture, history and traditions.

besides my own? so that excludes.. vietnamese and chinese people..

i guess i'd have to say Filipino people.. just cause there's a lot in my area and a good 85% of my friends are Filipino. in general.. i'm just warm to anybody who's warm to me.

Probably ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Muslims, peaceful yet strikingly violent.

the american hired korean soldiers to fight in VN war , if they were peaceful ppl , they wouldnt have accepted , i heard from my granda the koreans soldiers (some) splitted the small Vietnamese children in half and north koreans are now crazy with atomic weapon

w/e people. In reality, i feel quiet comfortable being around any asian group, but if i have to choose(excluding Viets), then i would choose the Chinese.

This is more individual based for me rather than group or ethnic.......

i will say vietnamese.... they are coolest asian(excluding chinese), very peaceful...

Cambodians - Too many good reasons. My best friend is Cambodian. I grew up around them.
Laotians - Nice, Don't act shady, Never been racist etc etc more more more
Filipinos - They are cool with me. I have a lot of friends who are filipinos.

I would say Chinese, since the only asian friends I have other than Vietnamese are Chinese.

North Koreans are actually pretty peaceful, note that they have managed to keep N Korea closed to all but China. Notice how the USA is banging on the North Korean door and demanding they disarm (ironic how the US has lotsa nuclear $hit)....I reckon all countries should have the right to develop arms, after all you cant trust anyone right? Just for protection...

I only have Vietnamese or Chinese friends.

I like Thais, Viets, Phils, Kazaks Malays generally, but that doesn't mean that there aren't nice people in other nations of course..However, I'm just not very familiar with Chinese, since they seem to be a bit too nationalistic to me..

Miao - the majority of Asians in my area are Miao and I think they're pretty cool for the most part
Lao - I've met some pretty cool Lao people

they're really aren't very many other Asians in my area

Surprisingly viets. Cuz viets and Chinese are so much alike. Ton of my viet friends know so much about chinese culture it surprises me.

....but talking about warmth and closeness... ...sugarcane thinks it depends on who we get to meet and interact with most frequently.. then that way we become close ... i dun think we really pay attention to ethnicity when choosing friends... but yeah, i know what you mean, sometimes we feel closer to one more than another, for whatever reason.... for me, I have some really close and nice Chinese friends.. well my school area has a lot of Chinese people... well it also seems like I tend to bump into the nice Chinese a lot too.. hehe ...oh and it also seems like there are a lot of Chinese everywhere.. heehe ...

Most of my friends here are Japanese, Chinese, and Koreans. Japanese cause i had a lot of cool japanese friends during college, Chinese because i now work in chinatown and i have friends there too, Koreans because my best friend is and i used to go to Palisades Av,nj.

Some of us are peaceful. Other of us...not so peaceful. Like everybody there is good and bad people.

i would say...

laos people:very friendly, cultural similarities with khmer, not racist or arrogant. i don't think i can ever hate laos people. they are just too damn friendly and i have never seen a racist lao person before in my life.

filipino people:very open-minded and friendly. i sometimes feel like i'm interacting with white people when i talk to filipinos JK

vietnamese people:friendly, open-minded and cool to talk to

I have a handful of Chinese gal pals - they know how to eat & party and I gotten to know them up and personal, they're COOL and very effectionate, also a handful of Koreans & mix - hmmm their food, *YUM* most of my Korean friends are males or gay ONLY the mix are gal pals, I love this Vietnamese PHO Binh Restaurant the shop owners & employees; they show me love when I go eat some X-Large bowl #25 (T.G.) noodles with $2.25 extra beef balls and loads of them raw Jalapeño and my CUZ he's flip from bay area, you reading this DELF I didn't forget you!! BUT I'm always interested in learning every culture there is in the world. especially Food wise and open to making new friends throughout my life so far I'm doing fine

Why not be friendly to everyone? The way I see it is if you're cool with me, I'm cool with you. That should be the most rational way of doing it. In fact based on my observations most ASians in real life get along fine with each other contrary to so much bickering on AF.

Most warm to Viets, Koreans, Khmers. I never realy knew too many filipinos growing up.
