How did vietnamese clothes look a long long time ago, i think ao dai and stuff were just made like 4-200 years not very long, what were before that???

Probably like Korea and Japan, just imitations of Chinese traditional clothes.

In theory, we were not used to wear anything back then. The women looked really cute without any clothes. Most of the men felt clumpsy because they worked with axes in the jungle. Accidents sometimes tended to happen. Therefore men used to tie their manhoods toward the back of their cracks. Because of that, the Chinese called us "Giao Chi." It means the connection between two toes. At one point, we invented ao dai for men and women but without the pants....

Ok, maybe Johanjit and my bros morito byron can tell us better versions.

Before Chinese influence, in hot days we would wear loincloths and the women would wear skirts.

But in cold days we would wear overalls though. So depending on the temperature, we would be skimpy on hot days and wear overalls on cold days.

As for clothing, men wore loincloths and women wore skirts of various types. When it was hot, the inhabitants kept themselves half-naked, and when it was cold, they wore overalls (which looked like a blanket with a hole in the middle). They had their hair cut short, twisted in bun or grown long behind the back. They wore a scarf around the head all year round and kept their feet bare. Boys and girls wore jewellery made of precious stone or brass. Fishermen had their body tattooed.
