hey ummm yeah i was just wondering if u guys could help me on a lil etiquette(like behaviour) yeah like well the only question i have basically is like wat would u call like friends parents when u have to say hi like do u say like chao chu or chao bac or wat n so on and yeah same with other stuff like chao ba or chao ong or wat eva thanks
devilish
"Chao bac" would do just fine.
dalawapo
can i see some chao bac?
Knightmare
You sau chao chu or chao co when u know that the friends parents are younger than yours, if they're older, then you say chao bac. If your not sure, then you just say chao bac.

It also depends on how old you are. If you're like 15, 16 it's best to Chao Bac. But if you're 20+ Chao Co, Chao Chu even if they're older than your parents would be appropriate. And if they're in their 60s, then Chao Bac or Ong/Ba.

Wouldn't something as simple as a smile and a "Hi" be enough? What's up with the formality?
