the streets and boulevards aren't quite well layedout. it looks difficult to navigate.

Thu Duc is north of Quan 9 TP HCM. I have no idea where Ben Thi Nghe. I think it's along Nha Be river near Quan 7, but I am not sure.

In Saigon, get a Honda Taxi, go on Nguyen thi Minh Khai and drive North, until you reach a bridge: that's the Thi Nghe Bridge. If you cross it, you'll be in Thi Nghe, and the pier is right there.

Now, if you drive Westwards all alongside the canal, you can see how they've cleaned all water pollution in Saigon, rebuilt or renewed the small bridges on Song (or Rach) Thi Nghe...
