VietNamNet - The 15th Buffalo Fighting Festival begun in Do Son, Hai Phong port city in the morning of September 22.

Thirty-two buffalo locked horns the qualifier round, which was held in June. Sixteen of the best beasts then went on to the final round in Do Son.

The buffalo head but their way through several knockout rounds down to the last two matches, which determine first, second and third places.

Buffalo owners said that to prepare for this festival, they spend nearly a year travelling northern provinces like Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen to find good buffalo to train.
