It's sad to see how few Asian-Americans care about this glorious and important event.
Although the U.S. media has been trying to playdown the importance of China sending its first Taikonaut into space and being the third country in the world to do so (that's 3rd out of 150+ countries).
The U.S. media also tried to discredit China in its space program by saying that China based the Shenzhou spacecraft on Russian Soyuz design. What they failed to mention is that Shenzhou is larger than Soyuz, all the equipments are up-to-date, Chinese scientists attached retractable solar panels to extend energy capacity, and also, the Soyuz was so wonderfully designed that it's being used even today to send not just Russian, but American astronauts to the so-called International Space Station (which the U.S. intentionally kept China out of).
I've read many articles regarding this event. The non-Chinese Asian community seem to be divided. Half of them believe China's advancement in space technology will benefit all of Asia while the other half don't. Keep in mind, the other nations that have achieved space travel are both Caucasian nations.
What do you guys think.

Ah I see. I guess I missed it, my apologies. I'm a relatively new member as you may have already noticed
