Yom Kippur Morning 5768 – Sat., Sept. 22, 2007
You may remember the story of the man who approached a poor person on the street. Moved by this stranger’s condition, the man reached into his pocket to give him some money. It was then that he realized that he had left his wallet at home. Now he was standing right in front of the poor stranger and had nothing to give him. What was he to do? He reached out his hand and took the poor man’s hand in his. “Please forgive me,” he said. “I have nothing to give you today, nothing to help you with.” The stranger responded: “No need to apologize. You have reached out to me, and I thank you for this handshake. With your hand you have given me dignity and shown me that you care.”
This Yom Kippur we ask: Are our hands extended in welcome? Do they reach out to others? Or do we keep them in our pockets? How do we respond to the stranger in our midst?
These are questions we ask ourselves on Yom Kippur, for we will read in the Torah this afternoon that holiness is defined, in part, by how we treat the stranger: “When strangers reside with you in your land, you shall not wrong them. The strangers who reside with you shall be to you as your citizens; you shall love each one as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I, the Eternal One, am your God.

Socal just post info and let you put them together and make sense for yourself. He encourages you to think for yourself and use your conscious and $hit. In truth, conscience is a function of a higher intellect, and some people have none, they depend on the society around them, meaning the people they know, to tell him right from wrong. Telling them what to think, etc...Now...these people might get angry at Socal because they're confused and don't know what the fu-k is going on so they vent out this frustration upon him.

Read again, I think you're the one who is angry. Look at my post. I said his post has no point of view, no statement, no topic.
According to the way you reason, then I can just say some bull$hit and I will leave it up to the world to interprete the meaning of it because the world has some conscience. In that case I can say some irresponsible things like: the world is stupid, or people are stupid. This would be left up to people like you to interprete the meaning?
If you follow up to my comments to SoCal, I've never been so critical to his posts, but I ask him to be more selective on his post because I think high of him. I don't want him to ruin his reputation and make himeself look bad. But that's another story.
