So tomorrow there's gonna be this 20 year old Viet chick that's gonna be living with us. She's from the motherland and doesn't know much english. I just need some suggestion on keeping her entertained because it'd be damn boring here in the states if you can't read, write, speak english let alone watch some quality TV or drive on the streets. Things are gonna be different around here though, that's for sure. What to do? She's gonna be staying somewhere around forever and will only go back during vacation time. I was in Vietnam about a month ago and it seemed like the kids there have fun by taking a stroll on their bikes, meeting up with their friends and going to eat or drink something. That was basically it, TV was a dud as they had like 5 channels total. Renting movies was good too except it wasnt really a social thing to do with friends. At least thats what I witnessed in the small town of Soc Trang.

God I want to go back....

It all takes time and experience. Seriously, you don't need to teach her nothing. As long as she decided to go to school, she will eventually learn.

Dude you live in MN, impress her by taking her to Mall of America. Afterward take her to downtown and show her some of the nightlife there. I know MN has some kool clubs. If all fail, take her to a strip join; I know at least you will have a good time if not her.

Rent her some HK or Korean dramas. Better yet, get her some Vietnamese soap opera (Cai Luong)

Well, can you find some community colleges for her to go to learn English, if you have a vietnamese and English dictionary would be useful. If she's homesick still, take her to stores and ask her buy stuff home and start cooking, those "weed and sex" ideas ain't gonna help, may be once awhile and it might not work for those traditional kinda girl, it will make it worse. The best thing is if you have some vietnamese lady friends to introduce her to that will help her out alot. Just few thougts, good luck
