Uhm, Vietnam soccer team did very well in that game though. Final score (Korea 2 - 1 Vietnam) isn't bad at all. Remember that the Korean team won the 4th place in World Cup 2002 and the recent Olympic 2004. Bonfrere was hopping mad, no offence to the Vietnamese, but a 2-1 win, especially one gotten from a desperate comeback after giving up the first goal, is a HUGE disappointment on our behalf. Bonfrere was furious over our lackluster performance and has threatened to butcher our A-squad if they didn't play up to his full expectation. He and everyone else expected a victory with AT LEAST a 3-goal margin, and the outcome of the game was a travesty. Can't take anything away from the Vietnamese though, they were never let down by the fact they were up against a superior team and played their heart out, and as for our players, this is probably their worst performance I've seen from them in recent months...

I pretty much knew Vietnam will do better this time around. The last match in Korea was just the new head coach way of testing Korea's style. Vietnam didn't even send Van Quyen to that game and a lot of other players too. This time around he made adjustment, but still not good enough. I guess since we already out of wc2006 contention, he's just playing around and give the young players some experience. I'm sure Vietnam will continue to get better.
