Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Shoichi Nakagawa expressed Japan's willingness Friday to cooperate in a high-speed rail network being planned by India using its bullet-train technology.

One reported route for the high-speed rail is between Mumbai, formerly Bombay, in the country's south and Ahmedabad in the west. The Japanese government has reportedly shown a keen interest in the project and is prepared to provide technology and infrastructure required for it. (Kyodo News)
