The Defense Department plans to deploy 15 Aegis destroyers to Japan's vicinity in the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean by 2006 as part of defense against North Korean missiles, according to department sources.

The Aegis vessels will be equipped with advanced systems capable of intercepting and tracking ballistic missiles, such as North Korea's Rodong and Taepodong missiles, the sources said. (Kyodo News)

The Japanese deserved everything they got. The kind of crimes that their soldiers committed were 1000times worse and more devoid of humanity than anything the Americans did to the Japanese. In fact, America was generally a very compassionate and kind benefactor of Japan and STILL IS. That's why Japanese are generally pro-American and obsessed with American culture. Im not saying that America was kind to EVERY country, it was certainly abusive and oppressing to MANY(Iraq today, Vietnam, etc) around the world. But to Japan, it was compassionate because it needed Japan's friendship and subservience.

Anyways, Japan would never treat any country as well as the US has treated Japan.

You complain about Americans because of some cases of misconducts from American GIs. But ask yourself what have American done for you? And what have you done for us? You don't think Americans are lenient toward you? Japan bombed pearl harbor, that alone justified the two bombs.
