According to the minister of youth and sports,Azalina Othman,Malaysian youth are more interested in becoming singers and actors instead of athletes. I think she has a point. One bad decision was to exclude former All England Badminton champion Hafiz Hashim from the Malaysian contingent.

IMO Malaysians should place more emphasis on individual non contact sports such as archery,sailing,weightlifting and shooting. Chances of success would be much higher than in team sports. Just my two cents worth.

Not only that, I think as general south east asia can be success if we focus also on sport who have weight class. such as: karate, judo (all martial art),

Ithought Malaysia was one of the best of the world with bulutangkis/badminton.
