k, i know this has been going on for a while already but i just got a new mic, and i want to test it out.

I want to hear you guys speak Viet! I want to hear your accent. I'll post mine first, tell me what you think. (this is the part that makes it specific to Viet chat)

And i'm a bit congested, i think i'm getting the cold, so my voice isn't as clear as it normally should, but i'll try my hardest to sound as sexy as possible (i swear i sound better in my head, it's not my fault my parents gave me this voice)

I don't have a mic..
People say accent is more south..than north, although it is mix with both north and south viet language.

I think mine is southern. I'm pretty sure i don't have a mix of like, whitewash in it i hope.

Someone said i had part northern before, BUT i think that was to piss me off. Someone said Hue, but i also think they were trying to piss me off.

I'm a proud blooded central, but i can't understand northerners or centralers Those acccents throw me off.

EDIT: wait its not fast, i think when you spoke it was too close to the mic and it made this mic noise kinda so it blocked some words.

Yeah, and i guess when the person made the "post your pics" thread it's considered a copycat thread too eh? Wanting to see the Viets of the forum is a copycat because we could've posted Viets in the Chinese forum... You're a bit paranoid, no?

mines is pretty mixed. i have my dads accent couple with m mom's accent.

i just talk like a idiot when i talk Viet... My Parent's friends and my friends always crack up when i speak Viet... Im feel like a disgrace most of the time.

me too, i sux talking viet too, like when i try to say something i have to think about whats that word and then i say it like slowly and i like mumble but i understand viet completly i just cant speak it very good

As for me i'm proud of my Viet accent and capabilities in speaking. I'll survive for a while with people thinking i'm a native there probably... Atleast that's what people say about my Viet. They could be lying.

so.. doesnt mean i have to speak it well, i just need to understand it more than i can speak it and i understand viet fully!!

Because i want to hear Viet people speak, not Chinese. Like i said, would it make sense if i suddenly went to the Chinese forum, in that Chinese thread and said "Hey my wonderful Viet people, let me hear your VIET?"

My parents grew up in Hanoi I believe. Our family speaks with a Southern accent.

A lot of northerners and centralers give up their accent because outside of Vietnam there aren't too many of us.

My family is central, my dad doesn't have a central accent anymore because he talks to mainly southerners, so both my parents raised me into a southern accent.

i dont have a mic..too poor!..lolz...but anywayz...i have a southern accent i think....in english and viet!...my family mainly speak wit a NAM accent tho...speak mainly in slang...like ghetto vietnamese...lolz...

nahh u have an accent trust me...unless u cant speak it...cuzz if u compare da south from tha north..deaz a HUGE difference...u mite live around alot of viet wit da same accent as u...das why u think u dont have an accent..but mostly like u do...in english as well..i thought i sounded normal..but den i moved up to new jersey...and alot of people were tellin me "did you kno you have a southern accent"..its not like southern like hillbilly or anythin like dat..but ionno...it wuz jus different i guess...
