Yes, but you have never been to Singapore have you. Most Singaporeans look down on PRC Chinese, I don't think you're in any position to know if Singaporeans want to be part of China. Singapore is more likely to align itself with the US then with China. Chinese Singaporeans don't feel any special relationship to China, most are 2nd/3rd generation Singaporeans and consider themselves Singaporean through and through.
The problem is, singaporean politics dont determine by your SEA hybrids, your country is barely democry, as we all know.
As for look-down look-up, well I have to say, your higher-ups basically told my father the singaporean get too much malay and india elements in their blood and they need to import PRC people to improve the local's qualities, and they think the malay/indian's elements are a drag to their social-development, thats basically the exact phase they told to my father and my father, through dont has any love about the malay or indian people, still feel quite surprised about these singaporean officials' open-ness.
So little malay boy, learn to live with it, we all know in the future it will become Oversea Chinese terrority anyway
