But anyways, I will give it another try.
LOL
Chola - only 1 Chinese died vs 4 for Indian.
Chola - only 1 Chinese died vs 4 for Indian.
FYI the PRC forces attacked and were beaten back. Not only were they beaten back but during the battle they had to signal a ceasefire, and then use that lull to sneak to an advantageous position. So much for adhering to the international conventions of war!
[[The Chinese troops had to signal a ceasefire just after three hours of fighting, but later scaled Point 15450 to establish themselves there]]
but wth is this site?
http://military.china.com/zh_cn/history2/0...2/12475305.html
why is such a site even cited in Wiki. I used google translate on it and the claims made on this article are beyond belief. lol!
It says that China won that engagement and the Indian forces raised the white flag.
LOL i dunno what you are smoking mate, but it is indeed pathetic you had to resort to such drivel written in some forum with no peer reviewed citations whatsoever. The link is totally bogus and Ill put a disputed tag on that wiki article today. To rectify this mistake in a few days if no action is taken.
"China eventually recognized Sikkim as an Indian state in 2003, on the condition that India accepted Tibet Autonomous Region as a part of China."

In case you are not aware, India recognizes the suzerainty of China over Tibet, not Sovereignty. Note the difference.
The bottom line is China gave up on Sikkim. The same way its attempted incursion in 1967 was beaten back.
1987 - The two parties eventually did not engage in combat.
"The result was a thaw. Indian Foreign Minister N.D. Tiwari arrived in Beijing in May 1987 en route to Pyongyang, North Korea. He carried with him messages from Indian leaders that there was no intention on New Delhi's part to aggravate the situation. "

You need to brush up your reading skills. Let me help you. ill post my sentence here again
[[Also read up on the 1987 incident where the PRC bully tactics backfired spectacularly.]]
^^ how did you infer from this statement that the 1987 incident was a shooting war? 2+2 = 4 not 22 or 5
pls stop trying to save face. the Bottom line is that China tried to Bully India in 1987 and had to give up when India did not back down.
Lol stop using fanboy sites (that too in Chinese!) to back up totally false claims. Furthermore India need not have to match Chinese military in order to defend India and its assets. The next time you see a world map, check see wehre China gets about 85% of its oil from. And which country sits astride China's vital lifeline.
as they say, there is more than one way to skin a cat.

maybe it is you who have to read your art of war again...I would also suggest reading up on the Arthashastra by Chanakya and On War by Clausewitz
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthashastra
also Why do you think America is sucking up to India in a major way? can you infer the reason?(it aint hard)
While we are at it why did you ignore Colonel Yu's post?
Btw you PRC folks have to wake up from 1962 which was nothing but a propaganda victory, and did yeoman service by ushering in the rebirth of the Indian military. What does not kill you only makes you stronger
PS: Can the PRC folks stop hijacking this thread? Simply answer the question why some PRC supporters here claim that China will use military force/threat of MIlitary force against Singapore. This is patently stupid, to say the least.
if you want to talk about stuff NOT related to this thread, then start a new thread about it rather than derail the topic being discussed
