Dude we are a poor country, we don't have the money to waste like investing it for the best sports medicine and the hiring expensive international coaches. At least we won one medal in the olympics which was last year.
I mean we did outrank India last year and they are a wannabe Super power, so we aren't THAT bad since we are pretty poor you know.

Badminton is freaking TIITE, i just started playing a few weeks ago with my cousin, THIS STUFF IS WAYY MORE FUN THEN TENNIS, and im talking inside badminton(real stuff) not some backyard lamo boring badminton. So much technique, u can even use ur kung fu skills, it scares me when my cousin smashes the birdie, he did it once and it hit my thigh, ouch, its like as fast as an airsoft gun lol.

I don't think vietnam is even participating in the 100 m sprint event. Vietnam sent 11 athletes to participate in 8 events: shooting, track and field (hight jump and 800 m race), canoeing, weightlifting, table tennis, swimming, rowing, and taekwondo. out of those 8 events, shooting, canoeing, weightlifting, swimming, rowing, and table tennis got eliminated. i don't think vietnam can out jump anyone in the high jump event nor can they out run anyone in the 800 m event. the only chance vietnam will get any medal is from taekwondo. their only silver medal won in Sydney 2000 was from taekwondo.

Taekwondo is the sport that Vietnam hope to win medal this time. Our best candidate Nguyen Van Hung was scheduled to fight on August 29. Bad thing that he haven't fully recovered from his hurt which he got while training in Iran. The Taekwondo competition hasn't started yet, so just wait a little longer. Hung said Spanish would be one of his strongest opponents.

Vietnamest govn't doesn't want to spend a large amount on sports. Vietnam is still poor, the national budget isn't big enough to cover all the expenses. There are many other reasons as well, one of those is the corruption of Vnmese government.
