When I saw the opening ceremony and saw the Vietnamese marching, the first thing the camera showed was a Vietnamese girl with lots of pimples. I was like WTF? Who the hell arranges the PR for Vietnam? Who the hell would choose a pimply girl to lead the Vietnam parade at the Olympics? Sometimes I don't get what our government was doing.

Actually I was surprised that when they announced Vietnam, the applause went up a lot, I thought they were just gonna show Vietnam briefly and everyone would give a light applause like they did to the countries that marched before Vietnam.

Anyway it was weird following the Greek Alphabet. Vietnam was only a few places after Australia. Australia is sending the biggest contigent ever (480+) and is the second biggest team at Athens.

Anyway, I thought the ceremony and the show was kinda short. The performance in Sydney alone was 2 hours and the whole show was 4 hours+.

I was actually quite shocked last year when Vietnam actually outranked India in the 2000 Olympics.

India has over 1 billion people, they should have had a much more higher ranking with the odds in their favour, since out of over a bilion they should have at least some people who are good at something.

Our sport team will participate in eight events at the Athens games, including taekwondo, rowing, table-tennis, swimming, track-and-field, canoeing and weight-lifting. We have Nguyen Van Hung and Nguyen Quoc Huan for taekwondo. Well, the taekwondo team is our biggest hope. We won Olympic silver medal, by Tran Hieu Ngan (Taekwondo ) at the Sydney Games in 2000 though.
