LOL. Looks like you didn't really get any serious answers. Well my ex-girlfriend was Vietnamese. Her parents were uncomfortable with the idea of her dating outside her ethnicity at first (c'mon, I'm like 1/16 Vietnamese! ), but I eventually won them over. I don't like to generalize, but from my experience, Vietnamese parents would rather have their kids date within their ethnicity, and if not-- they'd prefer a Northeast Asian. Since you're Korean, you might have a good shot. But of course, not all Vietnamese families will be like this. A lot have been westernized and will not be prejudice. So if you like her, and she likes you, just go for it.

My parents don't care if I date outside my race. It would better if I marry a Vietnamese girl but if that girl happens to be non-Vietnamese, they are okay with it. I see a lot of Asians mingle with each other. I'm fine with Vietnamese girls dating outside our race since love is most important.


My only advice for you is treat her like a woman. It doesn't matter what race she is, if you give her respect and love then there is always room for love to blossom.

Ask her out. On your first date, take her to places where you don't have to talk much. Talking too much can be boring. Have fun on the first date.
