Vietnamese students excel in their studies in Cuba

Many Vietnamese students in Cuba excelled in their academic studies in the 2003-2004 school year and were praised by their Cuban teachers and classmates.

Out of 195 Vietnamese students studying in the country, 13 graduated with good results, 23 got a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.75, some got higher on the 5-mark scale and some others obtained the maximum of 5. Particularly, two Vietnamese students majoring in computer science have been permitted to curtail their study time due to excellent results.

To help the students perform better in the next school year, the Vietnamese Embassy and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Cuba held a summer camp from August 6-8, drawing nearly 100 students from universities in 10 provinces and cities in the country.

no kim jung il is just an insecure dude. he's so insecure about his height that he always has his hair puffed up to make him taller. Fidel is one of the greatest communists ever.

I would rather be in the US than in Cuba. Honesly, people would respect you more when they see that you got a medical degree in the United States than poor Cuba.

yeah everybody knows that. What she said is cuba is pretty good in biomedical compared to country like VN. I have to agree with her. They're not bad. Just the embargo that holds them back.

My relative in Vietnam once consider sending there kid to cuba for medical school because another relative (a high government official) convince their family to send their kid to cuba while his family (the government official) sent their kid to the United States for education. What a hyprocracy. I bet that every government official in Vietnam sent their kid to Western country like Austrialia and the United States.

Cuba delivers good education in Medicine and Biotech indeed, but the embargo only involves american companies, European companies just ignore the US embargo. However, I think that cubans' present sufferings are caused by Fidel's stubborness and egocentrism.

In terms of purchasing power parity, Cuba's GDP per capita is equal to Vietnam. The Cuban Americans I have known over the years are a hard working lot with a strong sense of family and in my opinion, Cuban women are often quite good looking.
