So, does anyone else, aside from myself, enjoy them? Which is your favorite? Mine happens to be banh mi thit nguoi(not human!).

at church they sell banh mi's up in that place and i always buy em for like 1.50 and they get em from a french bakery downtown so that's pretty neat...

haha , i like ba'nh mi` thi.t nguo^.i too and without the accent u would think its human but with the accent , human = ngu*o*`i . So there's a lot of differences between the 2

what does nguo^.i mean when directly translated?? hey! I also like to put hot sauce on me banh mi. very tasty and i liek it when they have a lot of that liver pate or duck pate or something pate

LEES SANDWICHES, IS THE BEST!!! a lot of people eat there, theres alot of stores here in CA. Especially in LA and Westminster, its cheap and freaking good, i think 1.50 is a very good price for a nice tasty 1 foot long or longer banh mi man... haha. Lee's sandwiches is pretty famous here.

OMG yes Lee's sandwich is really good, i get the combination(order no. 1) and with a lil soy suace its the perfect sadnwiche!!

Yupe, a little soy sauce does make it taste better, but its not "perfect" until after the hot sauce has been added.

ITS 100% VIETNAMESE, except the bread isnt, the bread is french style, i guess u never ate it.
This is a vietnamese store opened like just 2-3 years ago i think, its opening more and more stores by the day... they even have their own site

b4 i tried them i thought Subway was unbeatable for fresh sandwhiches
then i tried had my fisrt contact with viet subs/sandwhiches and now ima foo for thinking that - lol, the viet sandwhices are like and explosion of supa-charged flavours for your tastebuds

When I first started learning to pronounce Vietnamese I pronounced nguoi wrong and people at the deli stared at me in shock.

Banh Mi Op La is my favorite.
