anyways, go chinses, bejing olympics 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kulong
The emblem is actually based on "jing", the second character of Beijing, which means capital. For those of you who are fluent in Chinese, "bei" means north therefore Beijing literally means "northern capital". :-)

IORI look carefully at the picture...does it look like 金 to u?,,,

as that kulong guy said it means capital 京...
Kulong
What? What's "buckking"?

Beijing is fine during June and July if not breezy, it's August that's like an oven. Weird enough, September starts to cool down.
VooDiak
KULONG ARE U BLIND OR JUST AN IGNORANT FOOL?...

Neither. I'm someone who don't speak Cantonese.

But thanks for pointing out that someone explained what Buckking is. It's 4:16 AM, my eyes are getting blurry. :-)

Oh, yeah, take a chill pill. sure.gif

This is online and not the real world. Even if you add emoticons, it's still difficult to tell whether someone is being serious or just kidding because the lack of tones and facial expressions. There's really no need to "kid" or "joke" online because most of time, it's simply not funny. But if you really must, try using emoticons and make it obvious that you're kidding and not being serious inorder to prevent misunderstanding. It's just basic online etiquette.

If you already know then why do you still do it? It's like a person knows killing is bad yet he murders anyway. I'm a serious person? You're right, I am pretty dang serious when it comes to serious matters.
VooDiak
bawling.gif ur scary....

anyways back to topic kulong... biggrin.gif ...

hmm 2008...i'll be....yayy i prolly can go....
Colordevil
wow......................2008..............long time.
Anyways, i believe since beijing is hosting this event, i think china will get more medals that year
VooDiak
hey color...u'll be old enough then....then u can go too
直隸總督
well, support the captial
Colordevil
well, i think i will be old enough by the year 2008, anyways, i think i may go
Kulong
I'm actually in Beijing right now.

It's interesting to see just how much Beijing has changed since I was last here a 18 months ago. Although one can see construction sites and cranes on top of soon-to-be skyscrapers all over major cities in China, Beijing has changed the most, maybe except for Shanghai (I'll see in two weeks), because of the Olympic games. At this rate, I'll barely be able to recognize this city by 2008 ;-)
Colordevil
wow, right now, for wat? i do not think that you are preparing for the olympics, or are u?????jk, hehe, anyways, y r u there?
IORI
Same here i was there like last year.
Colordevil
may i ask one question, y would u go at the yr 2008?
Kulong

Yeah, I'm going to camp outside the front gate for the next 5 years.
SiLvErStArDuSt
Guys, we should have an AF meeting there!! Haha.. we can appoint a specific place and time and meet there!! Then we'd finally get to see everybody! lol
VooDiak
sure.gif nah..

i sure dun wanna meet some ppl from here..

heck...there is still 4 years to go till the Olympics...
Colordevil
Yet, i do think people are preparing for this now, because it's a famous international event

To call Beijing by it's Cantonese pronounciation is as stupid an inappropriate as calling Hong Kong by its Mandarin pronounciation, which is Xianggang. Go anywhere and I'll guarantee if you ask for "Beijing" people will be very likely to know where you are talking about. Ask about "Bukking", they would think you're cursing at them.
Nam Quoc Son Ha
I'll be working by then so hopefully I can go to cheer for my team Australia.
Colordevil
Well, the whole world is using the word "Beijing", so live with it, i call it beijing, and i am a cantonese.

Exactly. When typing in English, I never type Xianggang over Hong Kong.
