"Race" on the technical term would be the human race. Everyone is of the human race.

I think the term race to separate white and asians and such were started with the time of European imperialism. They probably didn't think of us as part of the human race, and so called us a different race. And hence the start of racism. Just my theory. It makes sense to me.

And no, we are not of the same ethnic, and never will be. It's called an identity. We have our own. Viets and Khmers are not the same and will never be, because we both have our own separate and independent identity as a peoples.
