How come we all Khmers and Viets are living in the same country safety...Because we are a great partner and prevail on the American troops and KR!!! Are you still remembering that issue???

What you've stated is wrong, the majority of us Viet have no problem with Khmers, but there has been a lot of arguments in AF due to a few members from both sides. Noone is going to be welcomed if s/he'd hated a person because of something that person is born into. I personally do not like to welcome anyone who'd insult the Viet people.

Well, even so she can't be responsible for every words which posted by Vietnamese members (since this is a net forum). All she asks for that she prefers to be referred as Vietnamese since youn is Khmer word, using it may lead to misunderstanding and causing unnecessary flame war.

Hey, I noticed there are a lot of offensive names for indigenious people in our language. Like we call the ethnic minorities - moi (savages). Don't they have a tribal name besides "moi"?

And no Vietnamese hate Khmer in real life Rockheart. I don't know about how Khmers feel about us though. Especially in America, when you meet an Asian person, you really don't care what ethnic they are, as long as they are Asian. I've met and have a lot of friends of different culture, Vietnamese, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, and Philipinos . The problem with Asian is at first we really uncomfortable and not easy to open up, and it gets other the impression we're stuck up or something, but as soon as that uneasy border is crossed, we all get along. For years I know them, I have yet to have a racial argument with them. We talk about each other culture all the time, how's life like in Japan, China, Korea, or how's life here now. We make fun of each other culture like Japanese is short, Chinese eat cow penis, Vietnamese eat blood pudding, Korean eats dog. And all have a good laugh at it, no 1 takes it as offensive. And we never ever debate over which ethnic looks better either. Just online, people take things the wrong way and easily offended (especially when they don't know how you're like) and if it was in real life they wouldn't bother talking back, but online they have a monitor to protect them, so things get outta hand. But all in all I think, in the REAL world, we Asians are really nice and respectable of one another.

When i was smaller i went to a school FILLED with cambodians. It was crazy, i think the majority were khmer because there was a Khmer community nearby. I moved away before Jr. High though, it wasn't because of trouble, and even if trouble was caused it wasn't because i was Viet, reason we moved away was because we got a better place to live.

Anyways, they HONESTLY told me that a lot of Khmers hate Viets. But in real life, no one cares, they'll badmouth us at home and stuff, but it means nothing. They told me i was a good guy and stuff. Heck, even a few Khmer girls had a crush on me, and even they told me Khmers don't like Viets too much. Yeah, we exchanged views even back then when we wree that small, that was around the time i learned of Pol Pot and how he killed people just because they wore glasses.

Khmer and Viet have nothing to revenge to each other!!! We are living the same country, and we obey the same VC regime policy...We, all Khmers are very appreciate and so pleasure for Viet kind to donate some foods as rices and provide some medicines to all Khmers who are living in the poorest families and Viets support some budgets to KhmerYouths who continue learning and another thing...That all enough to indicate that the Yuons welcome to all Khmers already...

But then, how come Viets in AF always give up and just deny whatever that Khmers innocent request or communicate some issue to Viets!!!! Thats making so SAD for the Khmers that try to be a friendly to Yuons!!! Even I personally, I would like to visit the Viet section...In case to see some great news then i will be join with...But then just some small piece to buck me...It seems to reject and not welcome me...If i hate you guys Viets!!! I wont come here to converse and make fun at all...Think a lil bit deeper....We hate to each other just looking worse while the western watch us!!!....But if we love and smile to each other....How wonderful lives of us are????????????
