Hello all, icon_smile.gif
I'd like to share with you some line drawings of Vietnam, that I found nice. I love Vietnamese art; and I feel that I can connect deeply with them.. Perhaps, the type of art that I adore most is the line drawings of Vietnam.. The lines and brushes are very delicate and sensitive, and sometimes quick and sketchy.. giving a very serene and poetic feel to the drawing... I have been searching for a while, for artworks of Vietnam.. these are some that I like, and I'd like to share with you.. If anyone has more, of any type of art, please share with us too! I'd love to be able to admire more. Thanks! icon_smile.gif

There should be a certain theme for each drawing.. Typically, these drawings are used to illustrate the setting or mood that poets have depicted in their poems.. I am not sure of this, but can only say what the general names of the drawings are. If anyone would care to tell more about the themes, or give a better depiction of the pictures (for those who don't know), that would be appreciated. icon_smile.gif

I think we can make an exception in this case beerchug.gif
The artwork display is like music. The flow cannot be interrupted otherwise the rhythm will break into an undesirable effect.

Thanks, vn1234. =) And thanks for contributing your pics. They're very nice and cute. It's ok, they're good enough size. and I'm sure many of us adore ao dai's as much as you do too. =) Wow, the calendar is from Vietnam.. that's pretty cool. icon_smile.gif

ditim- wow, your picture of the two girls in ao tu than (sorry, is that what they're called?) is so beautiful.. I wonder if it is really a painting, since it looks so real. Thanks for sharing.

hehe, sorry, Hy, but I find your guess funny. embarassedlaugh.gif but could be true though. ^.^

Do you know, Johann? It seems like she has a basket of flowers on the grass next to her. At first, I thought she might be undoing her hair, getting ready to take an evening bath by the lake.. but then what anh Long says also makes sense. She seems to be tieing her hair; perhaps, getting ready to wash her face? ^.^
...

Ok, how about some more artworks? icon_smile.gif

I really want to buy this one, but it's from $500-1000 cry2.gif

^Nero874- The painting's great. Wow, it's pretty expensive. Maybe in the future you can, or try asking your parents to. I think they might like it as well. icon_smile.gif It looks like a scenery in Vietnam, would you happen to know where specifically? Vinh Ha Long perhaps?
Thanks. =)

And aren't these lovely? Aó Tứ Thân is very duyên dáng. =)

This scenery is definitely Vịnh Hạ Long.
This looks like a water painting.
Does this painting sell here in the States?
tranquilsea
lthv22- Yes, if you go to the website, they have an "Express Delivery Worldwide" form (to the right side) for us to fill out.

Go here:
http://www.vietart.com/artfram.html

And by the way, found out the name of the painting is indeed Ha Long, and it's by the artist VU TRUONG THINH.

Hi everyone

I think I am kinda late to post for this topic.

I am Huynh Phu Nhieu's daughter. He put all his heart into his painting and .... each of them takes him at least 1 month ... because every painting is like his child .... And he respect his customers ...

If any of you want to buy any painting from him.

Feel free to contact me at wendy_huynh@nakasebros.com

All the best and sweetest to you icon_smile.gif

Wendy

PS: He is expert in drawing people, esp women .... the lastest painting of him is really awesome ... I will post them soon ..... It looks sexy but it still looks nice and "high-class".
