Didn't somebody say, that having last name Phạm means one is Cham?

I would like to know that myself. I've never heard of Pham being of Cham origins, and I can see why people would draw the connection if it turns out this is not true.

I have relatives who are Cham. Both parents' last names are... Nguyễn!
