Hey everyone,

I'm visiting some family members of mine in Quezon City later this year. We'll be staying 2 weeks. Several of my friends here in England will be coming with me, there should be about 10 of us and about 5 of them are English guys and girls. Obviously i've been to Manila on numerous occasions but i'm not an expert. I need some advice on which places to visit!? I wanna impress and show them unforgettable times! Thanks!

The hottest night clubs

Shopping Malls (which SM?)
Famous Landmarks
etc etc

if you're confident and if you have what it takes to to rub elbows with the elite then i suggest you visit 'the fort' and of course, 'embassy'

to a lesser extent, greenbelts 2&3, mile long makati, eastwood, the metrowalk, and rockwell are okay.

if you just want the quintessential filipino dine out, i suggest you try the bay walk, the macapagal area, malate, or the mall of asia even.

famous landmarks (if you're into historical stuff):
1) quezon city circle - andiyan yung labi ni quezon.
2) intramuros
3) kawit cavite - for historical stuff
4) luneta park - no matter how "cheap" it is for some people. it's an important part of our history
5) several museums
6) UP diliman collection of jorge vargas etc.
7) angono, rizal (somewhere there) - i know it's quite far but it's said to be the art capital of the country. dunno if that's true.

i'll give you an advice although i guess it's not exactly what you're asking. go outside m. manila, so you can get to see how beautiful the country is. show to your friends the banaue rice terraces, wonderful beaches (not boracay), caves (spelunking!), diving (in batanggas), and more. apparently, phils. is the 3rd best diving site in the world. the first is maldives! brag to your friends that the phils. is the epicenter of marine biodiversity. hehehe

Night Clubs
- if money is not a problem for you go to Air Force One KTV in Parañaque. there are plenty of night clubs in Quezon Avenue, the famous of all being Pegasus KTV

Bars
- you'll get plenty of choice in Malate, Manila. try Pier One, Ratsky or Cowboy Grill

Shopping Malls
- Ortigas Center in Mandaluyong has SM Megamall, The Podium, Shangri-La Plaza and Robinsons Gallleria
- Ayala Center in Makati has Glorietta and Greenbelt

go to SM mall of asia in the late afternoon then go to the back of SM mall of asia in the break water there are many bars there and you can watch the sun as it disappear in manila bay as the sky turns to gold dont forget to bring camera cuz the place is line up with coconut trees and bars together if you still have time you can take a cruise in the sea SM have also a ship that can take you around the sea near the break water and if you still have time you can also take some fun rides at the side of SM mall of asia they have set up many different rides there then in the late evening you can go to malate go to cowboy grill pedro gil because this is the bigger cow boy grill and the best band of manila play here you can dance till you drop while the band plays

on other days you can visit intramuros and check philippine oldest churches and rizal prison after intramuros you can go to luneta after going around you can go luneta ocean park and beside the ocean park there are good restuarant where they serve like dampa dampa (you choose live and fresh sea food for them to cook for you)

Manila really sucks...all u can do is go to the mall and stuff
the provinces is where its at

Yeah. Just go strait to Makati and Taguig or the Ortigas Center and stay there. LOL. Then hop to Boracay.

manila really got nothing much to offer except got to the malls! or go to payatas and go swimming in pasig river and manila bay!hahaha

go to places you know that are infested by whites. They'll love it.

Baler is a great destination because my friend just went there and he told me it was awsome and he also did some surfing but beware of the Sharks because when my friend was surfing a Mako Shark jump right in front of him.

There's 1 nice restaurant in Manila. They usually showcase our national dances and music.

They call it Barbara Casa Manila Restaurant

I think today modern destination is visiting mainland SEA. Philippine is for old retired people to visit as a tropical place, and spent their last life to the end of their dreams there. Vietnam,Laos, and Cambodia offer the last frontier for Asia last major tourist destination and the last places for business.

There's also some places which is near Manila if you want to show your friends around some Island Hopping and water sports
