What is the reason behind why so many viet pls sell Drug such as cocane, weeds, exstacy, ice and speed in Australia.
I don't know about other country or other place, but in Aus viet is the main race that sell illgal drugs. Why is that?

I personally know two different people who has been caught in Vietnam for drug trafficking and one caught in Australia for the same offence. The two caught in Vietnam, one is shot and one is waiting trials. The one caught in Australia received 5 years sentence (should have been life but anyway). They're not close family friends or anything, just happens to know them.

I suppose it's quick money and big bucks. Been told that the smuggler would get $30,000 for one trip. I suppose it's not like America where drug smuggling is highly organised and effective comparing to Australia. It is quite hard to smuggle it into Australia considering the effectiveness of the navy patrols and border guards. The only way is to smuggle it through normal folks carrying it onto airplanes and hope they'll get away with it.

But yeah I'm not 100% sure.

I'm not sure why vietnamese are the ones that are selling drugs, but one main reason is gangs, another is the $$$$.

We only get a few once in a while(think less than 500 per annum), most of the illegal imigrants are of middle eastern backgrounds.

Australia owns this island that is really close to india and it is consider as part of Australia. The best way to get to Aus is by water to that Island. I forgot what the name of that island is.

LOL WTF? Near India? I think you're talking about Christmas Island, an outlying Aussie territory in the Indian Ocean. But it's quite close to Australia and quite far from Indian subcontinent.

We have something called the Pacific Solution, where illegal immigrants are shipped to other pacific islands waiting to be processed. If successful then will be admitted into Australia, otherwise will be sent back. It depends. In return, Australia give those countries huge amount of AID to prop them up.

Hey no ones perfect^ I know alot of drug dealers mainly friends and relative and ppls that migrated to Aus that is from the same Town. But i don't know why they all choose to deal drugs. And Frankly most of them are pretty good at it too! Why can't they get a decent Job. Or if the wanna be rich and its all about money $$$ why is it that it has to be Drugs! Theres other stuff to do like kinaping, Bank robbery, ect ect!
There is many factor that need to be consider why the majority of viet choose to deal drugs! As i would like to learn more!!

I have the same problems with most of my viet friends, alot of them are in gangs and dealing drugs and stuff like that. Its kindof sad really, i cut contact with nearly all of them coz of that $hit and when you talk to them about it they get angry. And the big problem is that all of the bad ones are Vietnamese, none of my other asian friends do that kind of $hit. When you talk to their parents about that $hit, they won't talk to you anymore.

Oh well, what can a you do. When you see this $hit happen to your friends then you will know that you lost a really close friend, eventhough you try your hardest to help them.

Well... I think those who get involved in illegal drugs over here do it because they are either users or they see it as a way of making easy money while earning the dole. Walking down the streets, I sometimes see my old high school friends who are now drug dealers and users. I guess it's an easy lifestyle to fall into.

I don't think it's necessarily just asian people though. Many of the drug dealers and users I've seen are caucasian. Some are dole bludgers and others work in white collar jobs (ie lawyers)... and now with the publicity about police corruption... it makes you really wonder how far the problem extends...

Lol...you need to cut down on your intake of Hollwood's movies. Yes, there are guns and gangsters, but they are not everywhere as you said. In fact, most US cities are very safe. You just have to use some common sense.

BWT, I heard white over there are very racist toward Asians according to my friends who visited Australia a few years ago. Is it true? They felt that racism there was much more so than in the USA. And, Asians over there tend to not integrated into mainstream community. Most stick to just Asian communities only.

They visited Adelaide (sp?), Melbourne, and Sydney. Well, according to them they were on this ferry and they asked this white lady that sat next to them some questions. The lady refused to answer or talk to them. She just ignored them.

Yes Asians stick with Asians. There's a few gang wars between Asians and Lebanese once in a while. But overall I don't think Australia is as bad as the US. Our murder rate is among the lowest in the world. It is extremely hard to buy firearms.

Actually, paleontologists unearthed fossils of a creature that is believed to be a carnivorous kangaroo several years ago in Australia. I saw it on the discovery channel several years ago. Anyways, I was just doing an American stereotype of Australia since someone stereotyped the firearm situation in America.
