Vietnam (now #24), with 4,597 students

We are not doing too badly, considering that our nominal GDP was only $720 US in 2005. It is a given that the number of Vietnamese students in the US will increase steadily, as the Vietnamese economy gets stronger. On the other hand, noted foreign universities are opening branches in Vietnam, Canadian and Australian universities are a lot cheaper than American universities, and the government has in place (or is putting to gether a plan) to strenghen university education to the - in the words of its officials, "international" level.

We need more ambassadors of good will from Vietnam.

I thought Vietnam was running #3, the first should be from middel east, China 2nd. hmm there are bunch of kids from vietnam where i am going to school.

They all go back to their motherland after graduation to help the nation ? That's good
