Dalena also spoke Spanish and some French when I met her in Paris, at Thuý Nga's place.
I asked her whether it was fun to learn singing in Vietnamese... in Florida, and she said it was in fact the easiest way for her to start speaking Vietnamese, and it was a lot of fun and very interesting.
Now, she should be very good. She made an impromptu choice, and now she can make a lot of money, singing in Vietnamese as her specialty -- and being a blonde and not too ugly!
I know another Canadian brunette who sings Vietnamese songs with an even better pronunciation. She is married to a Vietnamese in Montreal, Canada, that's why... Let's try to find some songs she sings on YouTube?
She's not on YouTube!

Big difference with Dalena: she can sing all types of songs from all three regions of Vietnam, with excellent 3 accents. And she's now become a true Vietnamese girl -- cooking! and of course she speaks Vietnamese...
