That will never happen:

1. Only a very small number of people could afford it.

2. The government is impose heavy taxes so as to deter people from driving cars.

3. It is not very convenient to own a car in Vietnam, not to mention expensive. A scooter would get you by faster than a car.

The government of Vietnam still impose a 300% tax on imported cars, my relatives say that a $10,000 car in the U.S is sold for around $30,000 in Vietnam.

Those tax was to limit the trade deficit from trading with foreign countries, as well as protect a fragile auto industry in homeland. Don't think too far and don't complain on what we don't understand because every country would have a least a few to hundred PhD in economic field. We should remember that we are not experts. We should only complain what effect too much on our living standard.

Secondly, our country is still weak in economic competition. We need time to improve and to reinforce our economic strength and experience in the very new environment, the World Trading Organization.

Don't ask what your country did for you, but ask yourself that what you have done for your country.

Leaving our land, we look for a chance
Floating a round, our life many times had bounced
Study and study, our mind still counts
Till the day of success, we ought to be a gain Vietnamese.
